NASA declares Costa Rica #1
According to NASA, Costa Rica has the healthiest climate in the world. Visions of never ending rain during the wet season are often exaggerated.Guanacaste, located between 8 and 11 degrees northern latitude has only two seasons; the rainy (May - Nov.) and the dry season (Dec - April). Due to the mountains that separate the Pacific coast from the Caribbean, weather patterns are very local and in the Guanacaste the sun shines almost every morning, even in the rainy season. The average temperature is 80.8°F and the annual rainfall is 59- 79 inches, most of which falls in September and October.
