Medical Tourism Coming to the Guanacaste
The Liberia international airport expansion is almost complete and the timing is perfect for 2 hospitals nearby.
November 8, 2011, Liberia, Costa Rica -- As the Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport opens its new terminal soon, local hotels are getting ready for an even greater number of tourists and the hospitals are gearing up for an increase in medical tourism. And just 10 minutes from the airport a cutting-edge $125 million CIMA hospital is set to open this December.
Located in Pacific Plaza, an integrated retirement and health care community, the new hospital will anchor the health care facilities available not only to residents of Pacific Plaza and the local population but will also serve international patients, with a 100 room hotel within the community to serve these transient patients and their families.
