Westin Hotels and Resorts to Manage Paradisus Playa Conchal

Westin Resorts and Hotels, one of the well-known and trusted brands under the Starwood Hotels and Resorts umbrella, has been chosen to manage the Paradisus Playa Conchal. The property will be re-named the Westin Playa Conchal Resort and Spa and will be marketed world-wide as the Westin's flagship luxury resort in Costa Rica.

The Paradisus Playa Conchal is a 5 star resort with 406 oversized guest villas and suites centered around an expansive lagoon-style pool and accented by beautiful gardens, thatch-roofed cabanas and spectacular ocean and forest views. On-site is the championship Robert Trent Jones golf course, world-class cuisine in an array of international restaurants, a boutique spa and health club, a casino and an abundance of location-inspired tropical activities including an array of sports and professional entertainment nightly. Each luxuriously appointed suite has a private terrace or balcony, marble floors, luxurious décor, deluxe bathrooms, a separate living area with comfortable seating, plasma TVs, air conditioning, cable television, daily stocked minibar and 24-hour room service. Adult guests can upgrade themselves to our exclusive Royal Service featuring the discreet assistance of private Butlers, along with a tremendous variety of preferential services, access and reservations.

This world-class resort is the heart of Reserva Conchal, a 2,300 acre eco-friendly property that includes high-end residential condominiums and private homes, a beach club and spa, an equestrian club, the award-winning  golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., a golf club, walking and riding trails and an exclusive beach front location on Playa Conchal.

The hotel and resort will undergo an extensive renovation and upgrade program, including all the public areas and guest rooms, with a significant upgrade of the main pool, which should be completed by the end of November. The project will continue over the next fourteen months and has a preliminary budget of $15 million.
