This spacious 3,000 square foot penthouse has been decorated by one of Guanacaste's top interior design firms. It has high end finishes throughout: granite counter tops, travertine floors, tiled bathrooms, original art, and custom furniture, paintwork, window treatments and bedding.

El Destino penthouse occupies the entire top floor of a 5 unit building and is fully air-conditioned and includes a VOIP phone and broadband WiFi internet. The large open floor plan includes a large living area with flat screen cable TV with stereo surround sound, iPod dock and DVD player. The dining area has a large table that seats 8, plus a breakfast bar that seats 6.

The two master suites have king size beds. The 3rd bedroom, or "family room", is perfect for 5 children or a couple and their 3 children. It is behind the kitchen and has a queen-size bed and a bunkbed with trundle, a sink and shower and a full-size washer and dryer. The 4th bedroom is equipped with 2 twins. The living room couch is a sofabed that converts to a queen and there are 2 additional twin-size air mattresses, plus a crib.

El Destino Penthouse is located in the exclusive Surfside Estates in the center of a wide bay stretching from Sugar Beach to Playa Flamingo. World class deep sea fishing, surfing, scuba and snorkeling are only minutes away. A small but well-stocked grocery store and two outdoor cafe/restaurants are less than a block away, and there's a new supermercado within 15 minutes drive. Nearby Playa Flamingo (10 minutes drive) and Tamarindo (about 1/2 hour) have a wealth of restaurants, shops and services to meet your every desire.

Despite its luxurious appointments, the penthouse is child-friendly. Playa Potrero is one of the calmest beaches in Guanacaste, with no riptides, gentle surf and soft sand. There are no roads to cross or hills to navigate to get to the ocean. There's a swimming pool and large grass play area between the building and the beach. And this vacation home is stocked with boogie boards, swim fins, masks and snorkels, and kids toys and books.
